- PPE & radiation protection
- Scrubbing, aseptic technique and handling of sharps
- Undertaking WHO “Time Out” pre & post procedure
- Management of an IR procedure trolley
DAY TWO: Module C: “Patient Care”
- Recognising a deteriorating patient (NEWS & escalation)
- Analgesia & safe sedation
- Post-procedure recovery & aftercare
- Handover or discharge of patient
DAY TWO: Module D: “Procedural Skills”
- Commonly performed IR procedures
- Commonly used IR equipment
- Practical session on AngioMentor® Endovascular Simulator
